Profile
The moment we stepped inside Mr. East Kitchen, the air enveloped us with a tantalizing medley of spices and fresh herbs, hinting at the culinary alchemy that was about to unfold. The inviting scent of Thai basil and lemongrass danced playfully with the crispness of freshly chopped vegetables, creating an atmosphere that felt both energizing and homey. The warm, industrial-chic decor—exposed pipes and wooden accents—set a relaxed yet vibrant tone, making it clear this was a space for culinary exploration rather than mere sustenance. We were warmly greeted at the host stand, where the staff exuded an enthusiasm that felt genuine, not performative. As we were led to our table, we appreciated the thoughtful layout of the dining area—intimate enough for conversation, yet dynamic enough to capture the buzz of patrons savoring their meals.
The soft hum of chatter mixed with upbeat music, creating a lively backdrop that enhanced the anticipation of our meal. The menu at Mr. East Kitchen is a delightful fusion, weaving together traditional Thai and Vietnamese elements with a modern twist. Intrigued by their innovative offerings, we opted for the Thai Tea French Toast alongside the Chicken Pho. Our server, eager to share his favorites, recommended the Banh Mi, highlighting the balance of savory and sweet that has patrons returning time and again. As the dishes arrived, we were immediately drawn to the vibrant colors on the plate—each element meticulously arranged, promising a visual feast as enticing as the aromatic one.
The first bite of the Thai Tea French Toast was a revelation; the rich, creamy infusion of tea and coconut milk was a delightful contrast to the crispy exterior. Meanwhile, the Chicken Pho enveloped our senses with its fragrant broth, infused with layers of flavor that lingered long after each sip. The portions were generous, inviting us to linger at the table, savoring the moment rather than rushing to the next course. As we settled into the rhythm of the evening, the service remained attentive yet unobtrusive, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the culinary experience. Guests around us shared laughter and stories, creating a sense of community that felt both welcoming and warm. The beverage program also drew our attention; the non-alcoholic drinks were as colorful and diverse as the dishes, each one a refreshing accompaniment to the meal. Our dining experience at Mr. East Kitchen was a delightful exploration of flavors, textures, and aromas—each element harmonizing beautifully to create a memorable evening. As we departed, the lingering scents of spices and warm hospitality beckoned us to return. Our concierge recommends requesting a table near the window to fully enjoy the ambiance, especially during the enchanting golden hour when the light plays beautifully across the space.

The presentation was beautiful. I thought the white thing was some kind of dallop of sour cream, it was actually a beautifully poached egg.
The environment is pretty cozy. It's small and industrial. Tables are all clean. They have inside and outside seating.
Their service was super nice! Everything came quickly. When you ask for suggestions, they are very informative. At the end of my bill, I accidentally paid more tips than what I intended to. They quickly refunded me and was able to help me input the amount I was gonna do I wanna give them extra tips just for that!
I was taking pictures for the review. Their staff were so friendly and thanked me even though they have no idea I am a Yelp elite!
The food portion is really big and tasty! Cooked just right! And drinks were awesome! So instagrammable!! And not overly sweet!
I would love to swing back again! Recommended!
The food was great and I thought the portions were huge. We started off sharing the shrimp spring rolls. The white wrap was good and not chewy or hard. The peanut sauce was good. For drinks, I got the Dalgona coffee. It was rich and tasty.
I love breakfast/brunch and this place serves it until 3pm! I had the Eggs Florentine Benedict. Came with a side salad and potatoes. The toasted potatoes were cut really small, which is what I like; I’m not a fan of big wedge style potatoes. All of it was good. Couldn’t clean my plate off because I was so full. I took a picture of it but later found out my phone didn’t save it for some reason, so apologies for not including a pic.
Other items my coworkers got were: some type of noodles, stir fried eggplant/chicken w/sunny side egg on top of rice. This looked good and they finished it.
Overall, food, service, and place were great. The price is about $16+. Typical rates for the area; however, the quantity and quality is worth it. I would definitely come back here!
