Profile
At Acquerello, the allure begins long before the first bite, with exquisite dishes like the Ridge pasta paired with faux foie gras promising an enchanting evening. Upon arrival, the ambience envelops you like a warm embrace; the soft glow from elegant sconces dances across the walls, casting a gentle light that invites quiet conversation. The host stand, understated yet welcoming, hints at the culinary artistry to come. We were escorted to a beautifully appointed table, where plush upholstery met the polished wood of the dining tables, creating a harmonious blend of comfort and sophistication. The subtle notes of Italian music filled the air, weaving seamlessly with the soft murmur of satisfied diners, creating a vibrant yet intimate atmosphere. As we settled in, the rhythm of service became apparent—attentive but unobtrusive, the staff moved gracefully through the tables, each gesture rehearsed and sincere.
A standout moment arrived as the tasting menu unfurled before us, each course a testament to Chef Suzette Gresham’s culinary philosophy. The Wolfe ranch quail was a highlight, tender and flavorful, enhanced by a delicate sauce that spoke of the chef’s dedication to showcasing seasonal ingredients. The Ridge pasta, however, was the true revelation; its rich texture and nuanced sweetness married perfectly with the faux foie gras, elevating a traditional dish into an experience. Guests often rave about the Millbrook venison as well, beautifully presented and accompanied by a pear crema that added a refreshing note to the dish.
As the evening progressed, the energy in the tables shifted gracefully from one of anticipation to contentment, a testament to the thoughtful pacing of each course. The beverage program, featuring an impressive selection of wines, complemented the meal beautifully, with the sommelier’s recommendations enhancing the flavors of each dish. For those fortunate enough to witness Chef Gresham in action, her humble demeanor and passion for the craft resonate deeply, leaving a lasting impression. It’s not uncommon to see diners lingering over dessert, savoring not only the final bites but also the ambiance that feels at once elegant and warmly inviting. Our concierge recommends requesting a table near the window to soak in the soft evening light, which pairs beautifully with the artistry on your plate, creating a dining experience that transcends the culinary and enters the realm of the extraordinary.

Overall, every dish hit the mark except one diner didn’t care for the Ridged Pasta (too sweet)- though this diner happily finished it for them.
Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was fun yet relaxing.
Wine pairing was on point as well with an extremely knowledgeable sommelier.
Overall- just an excellent experience and well worth a visit.
