The Fairmont Olympic Hotel stands as a testament to grand elegance, its façade a striking blend of intricate brickwork and regal stone, rising majestically against the Seattle skyline. Upon entry, your senses are immediately engaged—a symphony of sounds unfolds, from the soft rustle of tailored suits to the gentle clinking of crystal glassware. The lobby, with its soaring ceilings and opulent chandeliers, captures the essence of refined hospitality. The rich hues of the deep mahogany furnishings provide a warm contrast to the expansiveness of the marble floors, where muted conversations weave seamlessly into the atmosphere. Our team found the check-in experience to be both efficient and personal, with staff exhibiting a choreography of attentiveness and grace, ensuring each guest feels valued from the moment they step inside. The pace of service is just right; it allows for a relaxed appreciation of the surroundings, from the plush seating areas to the strategically placed art pieces that tell stories of Seattle’s illustrious history. The ambient lighting shifts throughout the day, casting a golden glow during the late afternoon sun, which bathes the lobby in warmth, creating an inviting atmosphere ideal for leisurely conversations over a cocktail in the adjacent bar. Exploring the property, we were captivated by the thoughtful design elements that permeate the guest rooms. The accommodations are a harmonious blend of classic charm and contemporary comfort, featuring sumptuous bedding that promises a restorative night’s sleep. Large windows invite natural light, while blackout curtains allow for an undisturbed slumber. The bathrooms are equally impressive, adorned with polished marble and plush towels that elevate the daily ritual of unwinding. Dining at The George, the hotel’s renowned restaurant, proved to be a culinary highlight. The ambience here is sophisticated yet unpretentious, where the attention to detail is evident in both the presentation and taste of each dish. We savored the fresh, seasonal ingredients that celebrate the Pacific Northwest, with the service staff providing just the right balance of guidance and discretion. The restaurant buzzes with energy during dinner service, but it transforms into a more intimate setting as the evening progresses, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion or a quiet celebration. Our concierge recommends requesting a room on a higher floor for breathtaking views of Elliott Bay, especially at sunset. The Golden Hour casts a magical light across the city, a perfect backdrop to unwind after a day of exploration. Be sure to indulge in the afternoon tea service in the lobby, a ritual that beautifully captures the Fairmont’s commitment to timeless elegance.

From the minute we arrived everyone was so welcoming. The hotel was decorated for Christmas and there were so many trees and lights. It was magical.
The hotel is really beautiful. We had a 2 bedroom suite which we shared with our daughter's family. One bedroom had a king bed with a connecting parlor in between another deluxe 2 double beds room. The latter was quite spacious and we enjoyed being able to share the space with our little grandson.
The hotel is centrally located to many restaurants besides the ones the hotel offers which are excellent. We enjoyed breakfast downstairs.
We enjoyed our visit so much we are already talking about a repeat visit next year. Thank you for making our Christmas 2025 so special!
They were able to accommodate my allium intolerance, and the food was amazing. Even the substitutions were exquisite. The roast beef sandwiches and carrot tartlet were my favorites. I can't wait to go back in another season and try some other dishes!
