The scent of sea salt mingles with the subtle fragrance of tropical blooms, creating an atmosphere that feels both refreshing and invigorating. Our stay began with a seamless check-in experience, where the attentive staff greeted us with warm smiles and chilled towels, setting the tone for the hospitality we would enjoy throughout our visit. As we were escorted to our room, we couldn’t help but admire the property’s thoughtful design—a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and traditional charm, with natural materials that reflect the surrounding landscape. The rhythmic sound of the ocean became a constant companion, soothing and grounding as we explored the resort’s various offerings. In our room, the ambiance shifted to one of serene sophistication. The plush bedding beckoned with an inviting softness, and the expansive windows offered a breathtaking panorama of the sea, allowing the light to fill the space during the day and casting a warm glow in the evening. The bathroom, a sanctuary of marble and glass, featured a deep soaking tub that invited relaxation after a day spent by the pool or on the beach. While the accommodations were undeniably comfortable, it was the communal spaces that truly captivated us. The Silver Shell Cafe, with its extensive breakfast buffet, provided a vibrant start to each day, showcasing a delectable array of international and local delicacies. The atmosphere here buzzed with laughter and conversation, particularly during the morning rush. Later in the day, we gravitated toward The Bubble Bar, where the sound of clinking glasses harmonized with a gentle breeze, creating an atmosphere perfect for sipping signature cocktails while watching the sun dip below the horizon. A standout moment for us was a leisurely afternoon spent at the resort’s sprawling pool area, complete with a children’s water play zone that delighted families while allowing adults to savor the tranquility of shaded cabanas. The attentive poolside service made it easy to unwind—refreshing drinks and light bites were just a call away, ensuring that every moment felt indulgent yet effortless. Our concierge recommends booking a Deluxe Sea View room on an upper floor for the ultimate experience. You’ll enjoy the most breathtaking sunsets, and the gentle sounds of the ocean will lull you to sleep each night, ensuring that your stay at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa is nothing short of exceptional.

We also used room service, which was convenient and consistently good. A really nice touch was the small goodies and little treats they left in our room,
those thoughtful details made us feel very welcomed.
It’s also incredibly family-oriented with lots to do for kids: a kids’ club, a kids’ pool, and plenty of activities, including on the beach. Our little ones enjoyed every single day during our stay.
Breakfast was another highlight, fantastic with many different options and something for everyone. Overall, a great choice for families and we’d happily return.

There was so much to do with the kids that we didn’t even use the kids’ club — the pool alone kept everyone entertained for hours. We stayed four nights and honestly could have stayed seven. The pool was amazing, and a huge shout-out to Gary and the lifeguard team who were always attentive and made sure the kids were safe at all times.
The fun team organising pool games was a highlight — the kids were entertained while Mum enjoyed a pina colada and Dad finally had time to read a book. Bliss.
The location is fantastic. Universal Studios is only a five-minute free bus ride away, and the resort itself feels like a tropical sanctuary. The gardens are beautiful and we loved spotting the wildlife around the property.
Our ground-floor room with two double beds was extremely comfortable. One bed was a sofa pull-out, but it was surprisingly comfortable, and the linen was excellent — something I’m quite fussy about. Special thanks to Ann, who made our stay even more comfortable by promptly providing extra doonas and towels whenever we needed them. She was always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you, Ann.
We will absolutely be back. Shangri-La Sentosa truly strikes the perfect balance between family fun and genuine relaxation.
