Profile
Local Tide embodies a refreshing philosophy centered on seafood, focusing on seasonal offerings that showcase the Pacific Northwest’s rich marine bounty. As we stepped through the entrance, the warm embrace of the space enveloped us, filled with the gentle hum of conversation and laughter. The interior is a delightful blend of contemporary design and maritime charm, with light wood accents, nautical touches, and large windows that frame the bustling street outside. The atmosphere feels alive yet intimate, encouraging a sense of connection among diners. After a cheerful greeting at the host stand, we were guided to our table, strategically positioned to catch the soft glow of pendant lighting that casts a welcoming ambiance throughout the restaurant. The soundscape is an inviting mix of upbeat music and the clinking of glasses, harmonizing beautifully with the chatter of fellow patrons.
This is a place where laughter and the aroma of freshly cooked seafood mingle, setting the stage for a memorable culinary experience. Our server approached with genuine enthusiasm, eager to share the menu highlights and the day’s special offerings. The energy in the tables shifts as the kitchen sends out dishes, the staff moving gracefully between tables with plates adorned with vibrant, locally sourced ingredients. We were particularly drawn to the shrimp toast, a dish that has earned a loyal following; its crisp exterior gives way to a rich, savory filling that dances on the palate. The clam chowder, served in a rustic bowl, was a standout as well—creamy yet light, with chunks of tender seafood swimming amidst fresh herbs.
As we lingered over our entrees, the pace of service felt perfectly attuned to the rhythm of the evening. The fried oysters were an absolute delight, their crunchy coating yielding to a succulent interior, while the crab roll, available only during select days, was a luxurious treat that beckoned us to savor every bite. For dessert, the bread pudding was a comforting conclusion, its warm, spiced sweetness providing a delightful contrast to the savory courses that had preceded it. The beverage program is equally commendable, featuring a selection of wines and craft cocktails that complement the menu beautifully. Each sip enhances the experience, inviting guests to linger just a little longer in this inviting space. Our concierge recommends securing a table during the early evening to fully immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere as the sunset casts a golden hue over the restaurant, enhancing the charm of this culinary haven.

I've had the fried muscles and the albacore tuna sandwich and they were both amazing. I also had the chips and tuna dip, but that was ok. Good, but definitely skippable if on a budget.
Standouts for us were the crab roll (fri-sun only), chowder, and fried oysters. Shrimp toast is also delicious but ate a little greasy for us (would order again tho)
We saw a neighboring table order the fried dover and asked if we could order a single piece a la carte just to try; they dropped one to us on the house! Sadly we're not local, but we'd be regulars if we were.
