As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow throughout the Silver Cloud Hotel in Mukilteo, we were immediately drawn in by the captivating scent of saltwater mingling with fresh coffee wafting from the lobby café. The ambiance felt alive, a gentle hum of conversation punctuated by the soft clinking of glassware as guests settled in for an evening of relaxation. This waterfront hotel, perched elegantly alongside the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry terminal, offers not just accommodations but an immersive experience steeped in the charm of its environment. Upon entering the expansive lobby, we appreciated the modern design elements that seamlessly blended with coastal motifs. Large windows framed the picturesque views of Puget Sound, allowing natural light to dance across the polished wooden floors. The staff moved gracefully through the space, anticipating needs with a keen awareness that felt both professional and warm. We noticed how thoughtfully the layout encouraged social interaction, with plush seating areas that invited guests to linger over evening drinks while soaking in the stunning maritime scenery. Our room, a Water View King, was a sanctuary of serenity. The plush bedding invited us to sink into its embrace, the cool, crisp linens whispering promises of a restful night. Oversized windows offered a front-row seat to the breathtaking vistas, transforming the room into a canvas of shifting colors as the sun painted the sky with hues of orange and pink. The bathroom, adorned with high-end finishes, featured a spacious jetted tub, promising indulgent soaks with views of the water—a detail we found particularly enchanting after long days of exploration. During our stay, we were captivated by the hotel’s dining options. Breakfast in the cozy café was a delightful affair; the aroma of fresh pastries and locally roasted coffee created an inviting atmosphere to start the day. We savored the delectable breakfast burrito while the morning light streamed through the large windows, illuminating the space and creating a cheerful beginning to our hours. As the day transitioned into evening, the hotel bar became a lively gathering spot, where the soft strains of live music blended beautifully with the clinking of glasses—a perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure. Exploring the surrounding Mukilteo area, we discovered the beach just a short stroll away, where the salty breeze mingled with the laughter of families and the gentle lapping of waves against the shore. The proximity to the ferry terminal proved to be an asset, allowing for convenient excursions to Whidbey Island and beyond, making our stay feel connected to the broader beauty of Washington State. Our concierge recommends requesting a room on the upper floors for the most breathtaking panoramic views, particularly at sunset when the sky transforms into a masterpiece. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy a nightcap at the bar; the atmosphere is particularly enchanting just as the day gives way to night.

We love the breakfast here, be sure to try the blueberry waffle!!!
Friendly staff, fantastic location, and beautiful views! Great seafood and EV charging stations in walking distance.
We love this place!
The amenities in the room are all high end: Aveda bath products, Keurig coffee maker, plush robes, and a very nice walk-in rain shower for two. Downstairs, the free hot breakfast has its own fireplace and ocean views, and covered parking is included. Late 12 PM checkout was a nice bonus after a relaxed morning.
The only slight drawbacks are no balcony, and check-in isn’t until 4 PM (but they very kindly allowed us into our room at 3 PM). Everything else about our stay here was exceptional. Easily one of Washington’s best romantic waterfront hotels, and certainly one of the nicest jetted tub suites we've ever stayed in anywhere.
