Upon arrival at Cavallo Point Lodge, an air of tranquil sophistication enveloped us, setting the tone for a truly immersive experience. The moment we stepped into the expansive, light-filled lobby, the gentle hum of conversation blended seamlessly with the soft sounds of nature, as large windows framed breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay. The architectural design speaks to both its historic roots and contemporary elegance, with warm wood beams and polished stone creating a harmonious balance that invites relaxation. Attentive staff members, clad in earthy tones that echo the surrounding landscape, moved with a graceful efficiency—each gesture orchestrated to ensure that our needs were anticipated without intrusion. As we navigated through the property, the serenity of the surroundings became palpable. Early morning light flooded the lobby, casting playful shadows across the meticulously arranged seating areas, where guests lounged with coffee in hand, the aroma of freshly brewed espresso wafting through the air. During our exploration, we found ourselves drawn to the outdoor spaces, where the refreshing scent of eucalyptus mingled with the salty tang of the nearby ocean. The courtyard, adorned with lush greenery, beckoned us to linger, promising moments of quiet reflection amid the vibrant atmosphere. In our room, a contemporary sanctuary with expansive windows, we appreciated the thoughtful details that enhanced our stay. The sumptuous bedding offered an inviting embrace, while the stylish work surfaces provided a serene spot for catching up on correspondence. Natural light flooded the space, and we were impressed by the clever blackout shades, ensuring an uninterrupted night’s sleep. The bathroom was a spa-like experience, featuring high-end fixtures and an abundance of plush towels, evoking a sense of pampering at every turn. Dining at Cavallo Point elevated our experience even further. The on-site restaurant, Sula, showcased a menu that celebrated local flavors, and we enjoyed a delightful evening meal characterized by fresh, seasonal ingredients. The ambiance shifted from the vibrant energy of the dining room to the intimate allure of the bar, where we sipped expertly crafted cocktails as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue across the Bay. For those seeking relaxation, the Healing Arts Center & Spa was a highlight of our stay, offering an array of services that promised rejuvenation and tranquility. The serene treatment rooms, infused with calming scents, provided the perfect backdrop for unwinding after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings. Our concierge recommends requesting a room with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, ideally on a higher floor for unobstructed panoramic vistas. Early evenings at the bar are particularly enchanting, as the sunset casts a magical glow over the landscape, enhancing your overall experience at this remarkable property.

We had just returned to the Bay Area from a long drive, so we decided to order room service for dinner. I didn’t find the chicken sandwich to be particularly impressive, but the salmon was good, along with the dessert.
I highly recommend this lodging and would love to stay here again while in Sausalito.
