Profile
In a landscape often dominated by ostentation, White Bird Scramble stands as a bastion of refined simplicity, showcasing the elegance of French omakase with an infectious spirit of innovation. Here, the culinary journey unfolds in a delightfully orchestrated seven-course menu that marries creativity and technique, illuminating a path that few establishments can traverse with such finesse. As we entered the intimate space of White Bird Scramble, the ambiance enveloped us like a warm embrace. The soft glow of pendant lights cast an inviting warmth over the subdued palette of the dining area, while subtle notes of aromatic herbs wafted from the open kitchen, enticing our senses. The gentle hum of conversation, punctuated by the occasional clink of glasses, created a soothing soundscape conducive to both intimate gatherings and celebratory occasions.
Our host welcomed us with genuine warmth, guiding us to our table, where we settled into plush seating that offered both comfort and a sense of exclusivity. Each course of the omakase was a revelation, meticulously crafted and artfully presented. The first dish, affectionately named “The Garden’s Whisper,” featured a vibrant medley of seasonal vegetables, their freshness enhanced by a delicate vinaigrette that danced on the palate. As the evening progressed, we found ourselves enchanted by “The Ocean’s Lullaby,” a masterful preparation of fish, where the seasoning was judiciously balanced, allowing the natural flavors to shine through without overwhelming the senses. The pacing of the courses felt instinctive, with each dish arriving just as we began to ponder the next, allowing us to savor the experience while maintaining a delightful momentum.
Beverages complemented the culinary artistry seamlessly; the free-flow drinks program offered refreshing options that enhanced the meal without overshadowing the intricacies of the food. The attentive service was characterized by a rhythm that felt both professional and personal, with staff anticipating our needs while also allowing us to enjoy our dining experience undisturbed. Chef’s thoughtful touches—like customizing elements of our menu upon noting a special occasion—added an extra layer of hospitality that is often a rarity. As we concluded our meal, it was clear that White Bird Scramble thrives on the delicate balance between sophistication and approachability, ensuring that each guest feels both pampered and relaxed. Our concierge recommends requesting a table by the kitchen to fully appreciate the artistry unfolding behind the scenes, enriching the overall experience with a front-row seat to culinary craftsmanship.

The seasoning and sauces were done perfectly, never overpowering, just enough to elevate the flavours of the key ingredients. Will definitely be back to try their new menu.
4 stars for atmosphere/environment because we came on a Sat pm and the central air-conditioning was toned down ( it is an office building afterall).
The free flow drinks is good and refreshing. Totally enjoyed the food there, I’m super impressed. Will be back!
Chef shared that if you have occasion, just indicate down in the reservation form, they will provide free cake/dessert!
Also helped to take group photo for us hehe
They are running with lean staffing – saw only 3 staff (2chefs, 1 runner) for approx 6 tables? So there may be some prolonged waiting time in between. But attentive to top up water so you can continue to chat with your date while waiting.
They will also introduce the food like fine dining style.
We topped up $15 for 2 mains – one fish one beef dish.
The dessert was interesting and refreshing – seaweed on ice cream and tomato sauce. Try it!
They change menu every 3-4 months and chef gave us a complimentary first dish, think it’s version 3.0. That one very nice as well.
S$70++ for a 7-course omakase tucked away in Frasers Tower is honestly such great value. Every course was thoughtfully curated, creative, and delicious — a perfect balance of flavour, technique, and fun.
The space is intimate and cosy, and it’s no surprise that reservations are highly recommended — the place is always full. Already looking forward to coming back to try their lunch sets next. Highly recommended!
What I really enjoyed is how every course has its own name, which made the meal feel like a thoughtful journey rather than just a sequence of dishes. We were welcomed with a complimentary milk curd tempura that was light, crispy, and gently sweet, such a nice way to start.
Standout courses for me included the giant scallop with cauliflower and bacon, which tasted clean and naturally sweet, and the red prawn tempura, a beautiful Vietnamese–Japanese fusion with delicate flavours and a memorable crispy rice-paper element. The zucchini “pasta” with poached egg and black truffle was playful yet well balanced, and the Nordic black halibut was cooked perfectly, paired with a rich but smooth beurre blanc.
Desserts were equally impressive. The savoury-leaning frozen dessert with nori and tomato was unexpectedly refreshing, and the final chocolate brownie with miso crème toffee was rich without being overwhelming, a very satisfying finish.
Service was attentive and friendly, and I appreciated that the menu changes every few months, which gives me a good reason to return. For anyone looking for a refined yet approachable omakase experience in the CBD, this is definitely a place worth bookmarking.
