Profile
At Turning Paige Wine and Bistro, the philosophy is one of harmony between locally sourced ingredients and heartfelt hospitality, where the essence of the Pacific Northwest truly shines. Upon entering, the inviting aromas of rosemary and freshly baked bread envelop you, hinting at the culinary pleasures that await. The host stand, adorned with seasonal blooms, welcomes you with genuine warmth, a sentiment echoed throughout the space. As you step inside, the ambiance transforms; soft lighting casts a golden glow over rustic wooden tables, and friendly chatter fills the air, punctuated by the gentle clinking of glassware. As we settled into a cozy corner, we were immediately captivated by the thoughtful design—a blend of warmth and sophistication that encourages guests to linger.
The soundscape melded seamlessly with the environment, a delightful blend of upbeat tunes and the occasional laughter from the patio, where diners basked in the waning daylight. It was there we observed a standout moment: the servers, clad in crisp aprons, moved gracefully between tables, their attentive yet unobtrusive service a testament to the bistro’s commitment to guest satisfaction. The menu unfolds like a love letter to the region, with offerings that reflect both comfort and creativity. A must-try is the pear and Brie flatbread, an exquisite balance of sweet and savory that has earned a deserved reputation among returning patrons. The warm, melted cheese mingles with the delicate sweetness of ripe pears, all harmonized by a touch of balsamic glaze.
We also savored the salmon chowder, rich and creamy with a hint of smokiness, embodying the spirit of the sea. As the evening progressed, we indulged in a carefully curated selection of wines, each glass echoing the bistro’s dedication to local vineyards. The sommelier’s expertise shone through as they recommended pairings that enhanced our meal, making each bite a richer experience. The energy in the tables shifted beautifully as the sun dipped below the horizon, infusing the atmosphere with a romantic allure, perfect for an intimate dinner or a lively gathering with friends. Our concierge recommends reserving a table on the patio during golden hour, where you can enjoy the view while wrapped in cozy blankets—an enchanting way to experience the charm of Turning Paige.

The crab dip was good. The turkey pesto sandwich was warm with melted cheese and a crunchy baguettes roll. The butternut squash soup was smooth with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Only minor complaint is the choice of country music playing on the patio didn’t seem to match the vibe of the restaurant. I would expect some classic jazz or French bistro type music.
