Profile
At Perle Noire, the philosophy is elegantly simple: to celebrate the beauty of premium ingredients through a lens of French culinary artistry. As we entered this intimate enclave in Holland Village, the inviting aroma of grilled meats mingled with the crisp, briny scent of fresh oysters, creating an enticing prelude to the evening ahead. The space exudes sophistication with its soft, ambient lighting casting a warm glow over well-appointed tables. Each detail, from the polished wood accents to the delicate glassware, speaks of an attention to refinement that sets the tone for the night. Upon being greeted by the host with genuine warmth, we were led to our table, perfectly positioned to observe the gentle bustle of the dining tables.
The soundscape here is a harmonious blend of quiet laughter, the clinking of glasses, and a carefully curated playlist that ebbs and flows with the rhythm of the service. We found ourselves immediately drawn to the menu, which features an array of air-flown steaks sourced from the USA, Australia, Argentina, and New Zealand, alongside a selection of fusion tapas that showcase a creative twist on traditional flavors. As we settled in, our server, Tshering, approached with a radiant smile that promised attentive service throughout the evening. Her recommendations were insightful, particularly regarding the wine pairings for our selections. We began with the house-made sauces, each more enticing than the last, an invitation to explore the nuances of each dish. The standout moment of our meal was the 300g Australian Wagyu steak, beautifully seared and presented with a side of truffle fries that were crisp and decadently aromatic.
It was clear that the kitchen takes pride in not only the quality of their cuts but also in the art of preparation, allowing the natural flavors to shine through. As the evening progressed, the atmosphere shifted beautifully from a lively dinner service to a more relaxed, intimate vibe. The gentle hum of conversation created a comforting backdrop, encouraging guests to linger over their meals. To complement our savory choices, we indulged in the chocolate fondant for dessert, an indulgence that was both rich and ethereal, a perfect finish to a memorable evening. Our concierge recommends requesting a table near the window to fully appreciate the ambiance as the evening deepens—there’s a certain magic in watching the vibrant life of Holland Village unfold just beyond the glass while enjoying a crafted cocktail or a glass of exquisite wine.

The food was incredible! The oysters were fresh and briny, the steak was grilled perfectly, and the pasta was rich and flavorful. Even the sides like fries and salad were deliciously done. To top it off, the molten lava cake with ice cream was the perfect birthday dessert — warm, gooey, and beautifully presented.
Thank you, Tshering, for your wonderful hospitality and for making my birthday dinner so memorable. I’ll definitely be back again! 💖
She was nice and engaging, always walking around to check in with the customers in the restaurant.
The set meal was very worth it, and almost all dishes served were delicious. The waiting time for the food is short and presentation of the food was decent.
The ambience of the restaurant is cosy and the selection of music was great.
Overall a very enjoyable dinner and pleasant experience dining in the restaurant. Recommended for everyone to try.
Kudos to all the staff at Perle Noire. We appreciate all the effort put in tonight. Keep it up and we will be back again.
But what truly made the experience stand out was the service. Tshering and Jiang Hong our waitresses for the evening, were warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, and their thoughtful recommendations and kind demeanours added a special touch to our evening.
Thank you, Perle Noire, and a big shoutout to Tshering and Jiang Hong for making our visit extra memorable. Can’t wait to return!
A special shout-out to Tshering. She’s so enthusiastic in her work, gives great food recommendations, and even helped us take photos. We also received complimentary bread and a birthday dessert. At just 19, she shows so much passion and pride in what she does — really impressive!
Oh yes, if you’re an oyster fan, go on Wednesdays! They have a fantastic promo where you get half a dozen oysters for just $6 with every course meal. Super worth it!
Definitely coming back again! Hope to see you soon, Tshering! 💕
