Profile
On a balmy evening in Singapore, where the city’s sunset hues blend seamlessly with the twinkling lights of the bustling streets, we found ourselves drawn to La Table d’Emma, a culinary sanctuary that beautifully balances Alsace traditions with classic French cuisine. The moment we approached the entrance, the warm, inviting aroma of savory dishes wafted through the air, hinting at the delightful experience that awaited us. As we stepped inside, we were greeted by the sight of an elegant dining space adorned with rustic wooden accents and soft, amber lighting that created a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance. The host, with a genuine smile, ushered us to our table, where we were immediately enveloped in a lively atmosphere punctuated by the gentle hum of conversation and the clinking of glassware.
The soundscape was perfectly curated, with soft French melodies playing in the background, enhancing the intimate dining experience. We settled into plush seating that felt both luxurious and unpretentious, a reflection of the restaurant’s ethos. As we perused the menu, we could sense the thoughtful culinary philosophy behind each dish. The offerings are a celebration of Chef Michael’s love for family, evident in the way traditional recipes are infused with modern twists. We began our meal with the signature flammekueche, a flatbread that is as much a work of art as it is a dish to be savored. Its thin, crisp base was topped with a delicate blend of crème fraîche and caramelized onions that danced on the palate.
The pacing of the courses was impeccable, allowing us to linger over each bite and fully appreciate the craftsmanship involved. For our mains, we opted for the coq au pinot noir and the renowned roasted duck leg garnished with cereal granola. Both dishes were rich and comforting, yet there was an element of freshness that made each taste distinct. The duck leg, with its perfectly crisp skin, revealed tender, succulent meat beneath, while the coq au pinot noir was a harmonious blend of flavors that showcased the chef’s expertise. As we approached dessert, the anticipation heightened; we chose the profiterole and the custard tart, both of which were a delightful conclusion to our meal. Throughout the evening, Mlle Emma and Chef Michael made their rounds, their presence adding a personal touch that made us feel like cherished guests rather than mere patrons. Each interaction underscored the familial warmth that permeates La Table d’Emma, making it evident that this establishment is not just about food; it’s about creating shared memories. Our concierge recommends reserving a table during the golden hour, just as the sun begins to set, to fully embrace the enchanting atmosphere while enjoying a glass of wine from their carefully curated selection—an experience that enhances the restaurant’s already evocative charm.

Special shoutout to the manager, Clement, for making us feel so welcomed and for his spot-on dish recommendations. We’ll definitely be back to try more items on the menu next time!
interesting lobster raviolle. The house red went very well with the dishes. Staff were trained well with the names of dishes. Well done and I think every one should put La Table d'Emma on their must try list. In the same building as Mercure Icon hotel in Chinatown.
The coq au pinot noir was especially tender and flavourful. My partner preferred the wagyu steak. Although the steak was rich, it was nicely balanced by the acidity of the sauce.
Everything was delicious and the servers were very thoughtful and attentive, and gave us great recommendations. The ambience was great too. Perfect for a weekday lunch date.
