Profile
As the sun dips below the Singapore skyline, the atmosphere at Barossa Steak & Grill transforms into a pulsating hub of energy, where the air is fragrant with the scent of sizzling meats and the rich undertones of oak from the bar’s impressive selection of wines. Upon entering, we were welcomed by the warm glow of pendant lights casting a gentle illumination over rustic wooden tables, each thoughtfully set with cutlery that gleamed in the soft light. The host stand, adorned with an assortment of Australian wines, hinted at the robust beverage program that awaits. Our attention was quickly drawn to the bar, a focal point of conviviality, where skilled bartenders deftly mixed cocktails infused with local ingredients. The signature Barossa Spritz, a delightful concoction of fresh citrus and sparkling wine, was a refreshing prelude to our meal, evoking the spirit of Australia with every sip.
As live music began to weave its way through the air, creating a tapestry of sound that complemented the clinking of glasses and laughter of guests, we settled into our seats, eager to explore the culinary offerings. The menu is a testament to Australian flavors, with a focus on high-quality meats that reflect a commitment to authenticity. A standout moment for us was the 14-day dry-aged Australian pork rack, which arrived at our table with a tantalizing aroma. The meat was tender and juicy, its flavors amplified by a carefully balanced shio koji marinade that enveloped each bite.
We also indulged in the St. Louis ribs, perfectly glazed and grilled to achieve a delightful caramelization; the meat fell off the bone with the slightest touch, leaving us craving more. Each dish was generously portioned, ideal for sharing and creating a sense of camaraderie among diners—a hallmark of the Barossa experience. As we savored the baked mac and cheese, its creamy texture punctuated by crunchy bacon bits, we found ourselves enveloped in the warm, inviting atmosphere that made time slip away. The service rhythm was impeccable; staff moved gracefully between tables, ensuring drinks were topped up and that everyone felt attended to without ever feeling rushed. It was a perfect blend of relaxed dining and attentive hospitality. Our concierge recommends securing a table near the stage to fully immerse yourself in the live music while enjoying the culinary highlights—especially during the weekends when the energy truly peaks.

Their mussels were amazing! A tad bit small but i think its off season. But the sauce was great.
We ordered the 14 day dry age australian pork rack shio koji. Omg looks can be deceiving, cause it looks very dry. But i never expect it to be so succulent and juicy. My knife went thru like butter. My pictures really dont do it justice
Their mac and cheese was so so. Nothing compared to the pork and mussels. Nonetheless will come back again!
Pet-friendliness has been inconsistent. On past occasions, staff mentioned that outdoor dining was sometimes pet-friendly and sometimes not. In an early November call, we were told firmly that pets were no longer allowed at all, which contradicted a friend’s mid-November visit when she dined here with her dogs and highly recommended the steak.
To be sure, we decided to walk in and only dine if pets were allowed. Thankfully, we were greeted by a very friendly staff member on a Sunday evening who confirmed that we could dine al fresco with our dog.
There was a solid selection of steaks and an even more impressive wine list. We ordered the striploin and tenderloin, medium doneness with a charred exterior, and started with a well-balanced lychee martini. The food took a while to arrive, but this gave us time to enjoy the fireworks across the waterfront at Sentosa.
The steaks were slightly more done than we prefer, though it was clear the chef tried to follow our request. Now that we know, we would opt for medium-rare with a charred exterior next time. The grilling itself was excellent, and the effort was appreciated.
The highlight was the Bombe Alaska, complete with a mini fire show. The yuzu sorbet inside the marshmallow was refreshing, though we wished the portion were a little larger.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable dinner. We do hope the outdoor pet-friendly option remains available on future visits.
