Profile
Anatolia Restaurant’s culinary ethos revolves around authenticity, where each dish tells a story deeply rooted in Turkish and Lebanese traditions. From the moment we approached the charming façade adorned with intricate mosaics, a sense of warmth enveloped us, hinting at the convivial spirit that awaited inside. Upon entering, we were greeted with the inviting aroma of spices mingling in the air—a tantalizing prelude to the feast ahead. The host welcomed us with genuine hospitality, setting a tone of comfort that would define our evening. As we settled into our well-appointed table, the ambiance revealed itself in layers. The soft glow of pendant lights cast a golden hue across the tables, while the gentle hum of conversation harmonized with the subtle strains of Turkish music that floated through the air.
Guests lounged on plush, embroidered cushions, creating a relaxed yet vibrant energy that seemed to invite lingering. The decor, a blend of rich textiles and ornate ceramics, transported us to a bustling bazaar—an experience enhanced by the decor’s ability to provide both intimacy and excitement. We began our culinary exploration with the mezze platter, a colorful spread of hummus, tabbouleh, and warm, pillowy pita. Each bite was a delightful introduction to the restaurant’s commitment to freshness, and the flavors felt remarkably balanced. For our main course, we could not resist the Testi Kebab, a show-stopping dish presented in a sealed clay pot, which was dramatically cracked open at our table, releasing wafts of fragrant spices.
The lamb was tender and infused with a harmonious blend of herbs, served alongside fragrant rice that absorbed the rich sauce beautifully. Throughout our meal, the service was attentive yet unobtrusive, allowing us to savor each moment fully. Our server was knowledgeable, guiding us through the beverage menu that featured an impressive selection of Turkish wines and refreshing non-alcoholic options like Ayran—a yogurt-based drink that perfectly complemented the spices of our meal. To conclude our dining experience, we indulged in traditional baklava, its layers of flaky pastry generously drizzled with honey and pistachios, an ideal sweet note to finish on. As the evening deepened, the atmosphere shifted subtly, with the tables growing cozier, the lighting dimming just enough to enhance the intimate feel. Guests lingered over tea and desserts, exchanging stories, united by a shared appreciation of the culinary craftsmanship on display. Our concierge recommends reserving the table near the open kitchen, where you can enjoy the lively energy and watch the chefs skillfully prepare the day’s offerings, making for a truly immersive dining experience.

The baklava was rich, fresh, and not overly sweet, making it the perfect dessert, especially with the warm Turkish tea served at the end. The ambiance reflects the charm of the Kampong Glam area, and the location just off Haji Lane makes it a great stop after exploring the neighborhood.
Service was warm and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Turkish/Middle Eastern food in Singapore. Will definitely visit again!
