Profile
The tantalizing aroma of soy-glazed miso cod quickly envelops you as you step into the warmly lit enclave of That Chef Couple Private Dining, where culinary artistry is a personal affair. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an intimate experience curated by the dynamic duo of Jedidiah and Lynette, whose passion for hospitality is palpable the moment you cross the threshold. Guests are greeted not merely as patrons but as friends, ushered into a cozy space that feels more like a gathering in a well-loved home than a conventional dining venue. The atmosphere strikes a delightful balance between casual comfort and refined elegance. Low-hanging pendant lights cast a soft glow over the rustic wooden table, set with understated yet stylish tableware.
There’s a gentle hum of conversation, punctuated by the clinking of glasses and the sizzling sounds from the kitchen, where the couple crafts each dish with a deft touch. As the evening unfolds, you can feel the energy shifting, an inviting rhythm that encourages lingering over each course. The omakase menu is a thoughtful journey, seamlessly blending diverse influences—from the vibrant notes of Spanish tapas to the delicate finesse of French cuisine, all sprinkled with Asian flair. Each dish is introduced with a personal touch; Jedidiah’s enthusiasm shines through as he recounts the inspiration behind the evening’s offerings. One standout dish, the charred octopus with a saffron aioli, balances smoky complexity and creamy richness, inviting guests to savor each bite slowly.
As the evening progresses, we were particularly enchanted by the duo’s signature dessert: a matcha-infused panna cotta that brought a refreshing end to our culinary experience, its silky texture melting away on the tongue. The beverage program complements the meal beautifully, with suggestions that range from artisanal cocktails to a curated selection of wines. Guests often linger over glasses of natural wine, sharing stories and laughter as the night deepens. It’s this blend of exquisite food and genuine connection that encapsulates the essence of dining with The Chef Couple; their warmth transforms the evening into a cherished memory. Our concierge recommends securing a reservation for a weekday evening when the ambiance is especially intimate, allowing for a more personal culinary dialogue with Jedidiah and Lynette.

5 Reviews on “That Chef Couple Private Dining”
When the food was ready, Jedidiah and Lynette took over as hosts and walked us through each magical dish, taking time to point out the culinary influences behind each fusion. Each bite was a carefully constructed masterpiece that shared a little part of their journey. We felt like long time friends at the end of the meal.
I highly recommend That Chef Couple and look forward to another omakase meal.
Overall, we had an outstanding experience at The Chef Couple—an easy five stars. Despite making a last-minute reservation just three days prior, Jedidiah and Lynette warmly fit us in and even shifted our dinner timing to accommodate our kids’ bedtime. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel at home: thoughtful pacing, seamless service, and a lovely, genuine conversation as they shared their life experiences over wine.
The 5-course menu was precise and memorable:
French onion cream on pan-grilled sourdough with Parmigiano-Reggiano—deep, comforting flavors to start. (My wife's favourite dish)
Hokkaido scallops with ikura, pea & dill purée, miso beurre blanc—perfectly caramelised scallops balanced by brine and umami.
Coq au vin with wine-braised carrots, pommes parisiennes, and sautéed shimeji—rich, silky sauce and beautifully cooked chicken. (My favourite dish)
Burrata with cashew pesto, Perino tomato medley, balsamic glaze—fresh, bright, and well-seasoned.
Valrhona Guanaja dark chocolate soufflé—textbook rise with a luxurious, bittersweet finish.
Thoughtful hospitality + refined cooking = a wonderful night. We left happy, and highly recommended for anyone seeking an intimate chef’s table experience run by truly gracious hosts.
The ambience was very homely and Lynette's personality is made it easy to settle in for a private dining experience. Jedidiah introduced us to each dish served and the pace of service is good.
I strongly recommend to give That Chef Couple private dining a go. The presented flavors are fresh and delicious.
