A luxury hotel experience is best defined by the seamless orchestration of service, ambiance, and personal attention, and at InterContinental Singapore, this harmony resonates from the moment you arrive. Stepping into the grand courtyard, the intricate Peranakan architectural details draw your eye as the warm glow of ambient lighting casts a welcoming aura. The lobby unfolds like a beautifully curated gallery, where the rich textures of polished wood and marble harmonize with the soft sounds of a live pianist, inviting guests to linger a while longer. The staff, impeccably dressed and intuitive in their service, glide gracefully through this space, ensuring that every need is anticipated and met with a genuine smile. As we explored the property, the blend of heritage and modern luxury became evident in every corner. Each room is an intimate canvas adorned with bespoke Peranakan furnishings, offering a sense of place that resonates with Singapore’s rich cultural tapestry. We found ourselves enveloped in a cocoon of tranquility, where light control allowed for a soft glow at dusk, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The bathrooms, outfitted with sumptuous marble and indulgent rainfall showers, were a sanctuary in themselves, complete with plush towels and thoughtful amenities that cater to every whim. Dining at InterContinental Singapore is a celebration of flavors and traditions. The hotel’s signature restaurant embraces its culinary heritage, offering a menu that reflects the vibrant tapestry of Singapore’s gastronomic landscape. During breakfast, the buffet was a feast for the senses—inviting aromas wafted through the air, beckoning us to sample an array of local delicacies alongside classic Western options. The lobby lounge, with its plush seating and elegant decor, transforms beautifully as day turns to night, becoming a vibrant social hub where guests sip on expertly crafted cocktails. A standout moment for us was the afternoon tea service, an intricate presentation of pastries and local treats that felt like a delightful homage to the city’s culinary narrative. The hotel’s location in the bustling Bugis district offers the perfect launchpad for exploring Singapore’s vibrant streets and cultural landmarks. Whether wandering through the colorful shops of Haji Lane or visiting the nearby National Museum, we appreciated how the hotel’s proximity to these attractions enriched our overall experience. Our concierge recommends reserving a club room on a higher floor for breathtaking views of the city skyline, especially during sunset. This vantage point allows you to bask in the golden hour glow while enjoying a complimentary evening cocktail in the exclusive lounge—an ideal way to unwind after a day of adventures.

One of the most wonderful in room showers, right water pressure and temperature.
Great location and connectivity through Bugis and MRT. Will always stay here whenever I’m in Singapore. Very high level service provided, thank you to the whole team.
The entrance hall is large and sumptuous, and the overall atmosphere feels calm and refined. The pool area was lovely and surprisingly quiet while we were there, with a small hot tub and a champagne bar — a perfect place to relax. The hotel offers several excellent dining options, including Chinese, Japanese and Italian restaurants, as well as the beautiful dining area in the lobby, where they also serve afternoon tea. Service throughout the hotel was impeccable.
Our room was spacious, beautifully designed and spotless. It had a lovely bath and a very good coffee machine, with complimentary coffee, tea and water provided. The evening turndown service was a particularly nice touch — curtains closed, slippers placed by the bed, potpourri on the pillows and fresh water left bedside. These small details really made the stay feel special.
Breakfast was fantastic, with a huge selection of both continental and Asian options and excellent coffee — everything you could want. We also ordered room service one evening, which arrived quickly, and the burger was genuinely one of the best I’ve ever had.
The location is excellent. The hotel is right next to Bugis Junction MRT station, making it incredibly easy to get around, and it’s only a few minutes from Marina Bay and the Merlion. It’s a perfect base for exploring Singapore.
Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would absolutely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore.
