Spending time at Raffles Singapore, you begin to appreciate how intentionally each space encourages you to slow down and enjoy the moment in Singapore. The grand lobby, a soaring space adorned with elegant colonial architecture, beckoned with its high ceilings and intricate ceiling fans that whispered of days long past. The gentle rustle of silk drapes mingled with the soft murmur of guests engaged in quiet conversation, creating an atmosphere that felt both vibrant and intimate. Staff members, impeccably attired in crisp uniforms, moved with an effortless cadence, anticipating needs and delivering service with a genuine warmth that made every guest feel like a cherished visitor. Our suite, a splendid blend of heritage and modernity, revealed itself as a sanctuary of comfort and sophistication. The moment we stepped inside, a rich aroma of sandalwood and citrus greeted us, setting an inviting tone. The king-sized bed, dressed in luxurious linens, promised an indulgent night’s sleep, while the plush armchair by the window offered a perfect perch from which to gaze at the bustling streets below. The design was a harmonious interplay of muted colors and opulent textures, from the marble-clad bathroom, complete with a freestanding tub, to the elegant workspaces that catered to both leisure and productivity. Natural light flooded the space, courtesy of expansive windows that framed the vibrant cityscape, and with the gentle curtains drawn back, we felt a seamless connection to the outside world. Throughout our stay, we found ourselves drawn to the iconic Long Bar, where the celebrated Singapore Sling was born. The atmosphere here shifted beautifully from day to evening; in the late afternoon, the soft glow of sunlight streamed through the slatted windows, creating dappled patterns on the polished wooden floors. We savored the signature cocktail, the tangy sweetness perfectly balanced by the bar’s relaxed elegance. In the evenings, the space transformed into a lively gathering spot, filled with laughter and the clinking of glasses, a delightful reminder of the hotel’s vibrant social spirit. The pool area, a tranquil enclave surrounded by lush greenery, provided a refreshing respite from the city’s dynamic pulse. As we lounged on the sun-drenched deck, the gentle sounds of water lapping against the tiles created a soothing backdrop, while attentive staff members ensured every need was met without intrusion. Our concierge recommends requesting a suite on a higher floor, where the views of the skyline are particularly breathtaking at sunset. This vantage point allows for a more intimate experience of Singapore’s vibrant colors as they melt into twilight. Additionally, consider scheduling breakfast in the privacy of your suite; the leisurely start accompanied by a curated spread is an experience not to be overlooked.

I made the reservation through my travel advisors and they booked that through Virtuoso. I should also mention that I have Diamond Status in the Le Accor loyalty program and these may have influence on my experience during my stay.
I have to compliment on the hotel staff for the great service they provided at check-in, making dinner reservations and making the extra effort in getting me in for a hotel history tour during my stay. Both Diana and Nooruunisa at the concierge desk really went an extra mile in making reservations for me. Mr. Rosalee, hotel historian, made an extra effort to accommodate my request for a hotel history tour during my short stay there. The tour made me appreciate the hotel even more and it was an essential part of my experience in not just the hotel but also Singapore. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the hotel staff for make my stay so memorable.
In addition, the hotel is beautiful and I enjoyed the comfort of my suite and the hotel ground. I also hosted an afternoon tea at the hotel lobby for my friends in Singapore and the service was superb.
The suite was elegantly furnished, very quiet, and offered a high level of comfort. The air conditioning worked perfectly without any draft. Breakfast was very generous, with an excellent selection to suit every taste.
Relaxing at the rooftop pool was a real highlight. The service there was attentive yet discreet, allowing for a wonderfully calm and enjoyable atmosphere. We also had a fantastic dinner at the hotel’s own restaurant Yi, which was a memorable experience.
All in all, it was a truly wonderful stay, and we would highly recommend Raffles Singapore.
However, Vicki was exceptional. From the moment we arrived to waving us off, she could not do enough. This was on top of probably dealing with another 15 customers as well. She was full of advice and idea's, always making us feel special. Subsequently, it did not surprise us to learn that she was named amongst the best receptionists in Singapore after collecting just 18 months of experience. She must be the best by now.
The iconic nature of this hotel makes it one of the best in the world.
It's staff and their attention to detail and service will keep this hotel as one of the best in the world.
