A stay at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore reveals itself through a seamless interplay of history, exceptional service, and architectural grandeur that sets the bar for luxury hospitality. As we stepped into the lobby, the first thing that struck us was the intricate design of the building, a former post office that radiates an aura of dignified elegance. The soaring ceilings adorned with ornate cornices create a sense of space that is both inviting and awe-inspiring. The soft glow of strategically placed lighting highlights the marble floors, while the gentle murmur of guests mingling in this grand hall adds a vibrant yet refined energy to the atmosphere. Our arrival experience was punctuated by warm smiles and efficient check-in procedures, with staff impeccably trained to balance attentiveness with discretion. We were escorted to our room with practiced ease, taking in the rhythm of the hotel as we navigated through its elegant corridors. Each staff member we encountered seemed genuinely invested in ensuring our stay was flawless, a testament to the high standards of service that permeate every corner of this establishment. In our spacious suite, the blend of modern comforts and classic style beckoned us to unwind. The sumptuous bedding enveloped us in softness, and the expansive windows offered stunning views of the Singapore River, which transformed beautifully from the golden hues of dawn to the deep blues of dusk. Subtle details, such as the thoughtfully curated toiletries and the intuitive layout of the room, enhanced our stay. The bathroom felt like a personal spa, with its deep soaking tub and rainfall showerhead providing an indulgent experience that lingered long after we emerged. Dining at The Fullerton is an experience unto itself; the options are as diverse as they are delectable. We found ourselves drawn to the intimate atmosphere of the hotel bar in the evenings, where the low lighting and plush seating invite leisurely conversations over expertly crafted cocktails. The signature dishes at the hotel’s restaurants reflect a rich tapestry of flavors, with local and international influences that leave a lasting impression. A particularly memorable moment was enjoying a leisurely breakfast at the stunning Town Restaurant, where the buffet spread was a delightful collection of both local favorites and international cuisine, all presented with impeccable attention to detail. As the day wound down, we enjoyed a stroll along the adjacent Marina Bay area, taking in the magnificent skyline that sparkled against the night sky. The proximity to major attractions made our exploration of Singapore effortless, allowing us to return to the comfort of The Fullerton at our leisure. Our concierge recommends requesting a room on the 8th floor, as it offers unrivaled views of the river and the vibrant cityscape beyond, particularly enchanting at sunset. This vantage point, coupled with the serene ambiance of the hotel, ensures a stay that is both memorable and rejuvenating.

The staff here is exceptional. They are unfailingly friendly, professional, and reliable, and consistently go above and beyond to assist guests. This level of personalized care and attention is what creates a lasting impression. While I appreciated the stunning architecture and great food, my fondest memories of our visit will undoubtedly be thanks to the dedicated and wonderful hotel team. Highly, highly recommended.
The attentiveness of the staff was really great and great attention to detail.
They curated kid friendly amenities as they knew we had young kids coming along.
Service at the pool was also great
Great gym and facilities. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and experience there. We would definitely be back
We booked 4 nights in a straits club premier Colyer suite #849. On the 8th floor immediately above the hotel lobby entrance, looking down the Singapore river. The room was perfect and everything you would expect from a premier hotel. Honestly, if it wasn’t in the room to start with, a quick chat with reception and it was.
The straits club lounge access offers breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and canapés. Breakfast was more than adequate, if a little slow at times. You do get the option to eat in the main courtyard restaurant, which we did once and the choice of food was very expansive and of a seriously good quality. We didn’t experience the afternoon tea. But wholeheartedly commend the cocktails and canapés. We made the most of the unlimited Veuve Clicquot and the range of cocktails and beer. The canapés, both international and Asian, were also excellent, the staff running the lounge were excellent with a special thanks to Ryan who went out of his way to really make us feel special.
The location is perfect for a short visit to the city in amongst both old a new Singapore, so, to summarise, the hotel really couldn’t be any better…
